Research Fellow in S/TEM (3 years)

Description

Monash University, in Melbourne Australia, is seeking outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral research fellowship position in the School of Physics and Astronomy.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to conduct high quality research in the development of new transmission electron microscopy methods (STEM and/or TEM) and their application to solve important problems in condensed matter physics and materials science. The successful candidate will exploit aberration-corrected FEG-TEMs with tailored electron-optics and pixelated, single electron detector systems operating in customised modes to deliver new information about key functional materials. Requirements

The successful applicant will have advanced understanding and knowledge in the theory and application of S/TEM and a PhD or equivalent qualification and will possess sound interpersonal skills, along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
