The Ninth Conference on Frontiers of Aberration Corrected Electron Microscopy will be held in spring 2026 as an on-site event at Kasteel Vaalsbroek located at the bordering point of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium from May 3rd to May 7th, 2026. We will again address recent advances in methods and applications for the study of solids in condensed matter research and the life sciences by the application of advanced electron microscopy techniques. We are thrilled to announce Ondrej Krivanek and Max Haider as our Guests of Honor this year. 

In cooperation with the Microscopy & Microanalysis peer-reviewed Journal, we will again create a PICO special issue for 2026. Submission is already possible here by using the PICO2026 dropdown in the special issue field.
